Crimson Resource Management has an immediate opening for a Heavy Oil/Gas Lease Operator II at the Lost Hills location. This position works 9.5 hour shifts and must have the ability to work day and night shift, be on-call and work overtime as needed (shifts & schedules are subject to change). The ideal candidates must have basic knowledge of oilfield regulatory and compliance standards and experience of oilfield processes.

Current Pay Range for Lease Operator 2 – $25.00 – $45.00. This position is a non-exempt, hourly, full-time position and overtime eligible. Depending on assigned shift, may be eligible for shift differential pay. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
- Operates and troubleshoots work or oilfield processes such as Crude Lifting & Measurement, Oil Dehydration, Water Treatment, Gas Treatment, and Water Injection.
- Proficient in well testing with a basic understanding of oilfield instrumentation.
- Troubleshooting of process/equipment problems, ensure field process equipment is clean, neat and in good working order.
- Identify opportunities and initiate plans for data, field and process improvements.
- Participates in Environmental, Health and Safety programs such as behavior-based safety programs, pre-job work planning, energy control, hot work permits, industry health hazard training.
Working Conditions:
- Able to work in various outdoor conditions.
- Able to wear personal protective equipment when required.
- Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as hot and cold temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and loud noises.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit; occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Driving is an essential part of this position and must be able to drive unaccompanied on various road types e.g. gravel, dirt, highway, etc.
Critical Skills and Knowledge:
- Basic to intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel & Outlook.
- Experience with Field Vision a plus.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work successfully with a wide variety of people at different levels within the organization.
- Detail orientated with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work various schedules including nights/weekends/Holidays.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5+ years of oil and gas experience; or equivalent experience related to oil and gas industry.
